According to data released by China Customs, the country imported 380,000 tons of sugar in May, with an increase of 180,000 tons on the year.

　　From January to May 2019, China imported 920,000 tons of sugar, with a decrease of 181,900 tons on the year.

　　In the 2018/19 season, China's cumulative sugar imports stood at 1.77 million tons,with an increase of 207,800 tons on the year.
