According to data released by China Customs, the country imported 340,000 tons of sugar in April, with a decrease of 130,000 tons on the year.

　　From January to April 2019, China imported 540,000 tons of sugar, with a decrease of 361,900 tons on the year.

　　In the 2018/19 season, China's cumulative sugar imports stood at 1.39 million tons,with an increase of 27,800 tons on the year.
